I have purchased electronic parts and supplies from Stewart Smith Inc. for over 20 years. Stewart and Mike have always been helpful and friendly through those 20+ years, and I would recommend this store to anyone who needs such supplies.

They have alot of different inventory and I would 100% check there if i needed anything. Its worth the Trip either way for anyone who needs anything to do with electronics or who is into tinkering. fixing things .or Just So happens to Be a "Mad Scientist " Bent on world domination! They are the only electronics Shop Like this left in the area , That I know of anyway, are incredibly knowledgeable , very friendy, always willing to help, and throw this novice a "Gem" or advice 5 Stars all day !! Can't Say anything other than Amazing !! and Thank you Gentleman ! So Glad I Stumbled upon Stewart W Smith!! Its funny A previous Reviewer said he was Looking for Caps for TV Power supply board , Thats what Brought me as well and also Like him i was Looking for exactly this Place, where I could get the things I can find noware else, And where I could ask a Question or Two.........me ..." So what bla bla Random Question" .... Him...." Well here's the thing, bla bla More info than got in Collage for electronics, free ,and with a smile"!! Screw that 10 stars Lol, am I seriously still typing😂😂

I have been seeing Stewart and Mike for over half of my life. These two are a national treasure. It sometimes takes me an hour to buy a transistor because of all the information I have learned over the decades. They have a depth of knowledge and inventory I don't think is to be found anywhere else on the planet.

The guy working there was very helpful and was interested in helping me find what I needed and didn't try to sell me a bunch of stuff I didn't, I will be a repeat customer for sure. Huge selection, great prices. Don't let the outside appearance fool you, this place is a gem.

This place is the BEST! I work as a biomedical researcher at Upstate Medical University, and there has, so far, been exactly 0 times that I have needed some "obscure" electronics component, then couldn't find it at Sterwart W Smith Inc. THEY HAVE EVERYTHING! It is truly a gem of Syracuse.

The place looks a little shady from the road, but it is an excellent electronics store. It's not like a typical store where you can wander around and browse all the shelves, but rather they have a front desk area where you tell the guy what you need and he goes and gets it for you. The person working there is very friendly and extremely helpful. He even gave me some advice on the circuit I was trying to build and drew me a schematic and set me up with the right components that I needed. Everything single thing that I was looking for, they had it, and they had multiple choices. It's like a mom n pop RadioShack on steroids.

So this is one of those places that you want to pin on a map, and keep the number in your box of stuff. I have been there a few times over the years, and I ended up scoring the bits to bring my relics back to life well past the warranty that expired around the time the paper schematics disintegrated. I will mourn the time this place goes away. Keep up the great work you guys!

If you are into electronics and live near Central NY (Syracuse area) this place is a must! It's a tinkerer's dream and worth the drive. You will leave with stuff you didn't know you needed! You can easily spend hours just looking around. They have thousands of parts new, old and hard to find. Surplus and used equipment and lots of components, electrical tools, diagnostic tools, shrink wrap in every color and size you can imagine. Too much to list. The employees working there are electronic wizards and will work with you even if you're new to electronic work. I was in a jam for some odd capacitors and they had all of the ones I needed. They answered all my questions and gave me some suggestions for my project. Price was GREAT also! If you are an electronic hobbyist YOU MUST visit Stewart Smith! There is nothing like it in the Syracuse NY area. This place is amazing! And no, I do not work for them.

I've never written a review on any company through Google, but these guys are well worth taking a moment to write about. Great family owned business with two very knowledgeable and friendly people running it. They had the capacitors I needed and were very informative. I will be returning here for any electronics needs in the future.

Had what I needed in a pinch, when almost every other "electronic specialty" shop didnt even know what I was looking for. Mike was very helpful and I enjoyed my time looking around the store. Love the feeling of the nostalgia that the store brings. Will definitely be doing business in the future!
